Our story
Fresh, local food rooted in tradition and grown with care for our community.
Austin-Kidd Farm has been a cornerstone of the Huntersville, NC, community for over a century. Established in 1910, the farm began as a modest operation producing cotton, grains, and corn while supporting a herd of dairy cows. Passed down through generations, the farm has evolved, shifting its focus to beef, eggs, honey, and fresh produce. Despite the changes, one thing has remained constant: our dedication to sustainable farming and quality products.
The land we cultivate has been nurtured with care and pride, a testament to our hard work and values. Today, we continue to honor that legacy by providing our community with fresh, local food grown right here on the land we call home. From our family to yours, thank you for being part of our story.
Meet The Team
Daniel Austin
Daniel Austin is a dedicated farmer with a passion for the harvest, milking, making goat cheese, and beekeeping—though he’s not a fan of weeding! Formerly a construction worker, Daniel now brings his hands-on expertise to the land as a member of the Farm Bureau Board of Directors, a Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor, and a Mecklenburg County Extension Advisory Council member. His commitment to sustainable farming and community involvement drives everything he does at Austin-Kidd Farm.

JOVA JAMISON
Jova Jameson is a passionate grower with a love for plants, from vibrant houseplants to specialty blooms like dahlias and peonies. His expertise shines in growing unique crops, including his favorite, yellow watermelon. Jova also enjoys tending to goats and chickens, cherishing the opportunity to care for them with love and compassion. Outside the farm, he loves cooking, playing football, and diving into video games like COD. For Jova, the greatest joy in farming comes from the independence it offers and the fulfillment of growing for himself.
